| (I) A recognized medical Qualification included in the first or second schedule or part-II of the Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1958. Holders of educational qualifications Included in part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in subsection (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (II) Post –graduate degree/diploma in the concerned specialty mentioned in Section-A or Section-B of Schedule –VI I of the Central Health Services Regulations, 1996. (III)Work experience in a responsible position connected with the specialty in any government institution or any institution recognized by MCI/National Board of Examinations for the purpose of post graduation in that specialty for a period of : (i)Three years in case of PG Degree holders. (ii)Five years in case of PG Diploma holders. Candidates working in any Unrecognized Institution/or not meeting the above experience criteria need not apply. (IV)In case of super specialty disciplines of Plastic Surgery, Neurology ,Thoracic Surgery, Neurosurgery and Urology, in addition to requirement at (I) above, a post graduate degree in the concerned super specialty as mentioned in section –A of schedule VI of the CHS Regulations is essential . Further, 3 years experience in the concerned super speciality after obtaining the first PG degree is necessary. In the case of holder of DM/M. Ch qualification of 5 years duration, the period of senior PG residency rendered in the last part of the said DM/M.Ch shall be counted towards requirement of experience. |
